Jessica Gowling was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and grew up between her family’s residences in Calgary & Windermere, British Columbia. A graduate of the Alberta College of Art & Design, Jessica is trained as a printmaker, specializing in intaglio, silkscreen & book arts but also loves creating drawings & jewelry.

Canada, wild animals, line, process, detail, nature, texture, environment, printmaking, time, fur, voids, fleeting moments, drawing, touch, learning, memory, intimacy, nostalgia, books, narrative, chance, love, anatomy, experience & materials collectively motivate Jessica's practice.

Her work is currently available for purchase at the Minnesota Centre for Book Arts in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA & Black Star Studio & Gallery in Invermere, British Columbia, Canada.
